Unicef: Donate A Word

Miami Ad School is producing some great talent. Here is another lovely conceptual piece from current students Lisa Zeitlhuber and Katharina Schmitt, designed to create a new way to donate money for child education.

It’s the “Donate A Word” campaign for UNICEF that utilises the spelling feature inside Google Chrome to trigger donation prompts. With each miss-spelt word adding a “Donate This Word To UNICEF” option when users right-click the red underline to amend spelling mistake.

Introducing the Chromebook

Google is on a roll with Chrome. Days after releasing two new Chrome browser TV spots that could make grown men cry, the company has unleashed the animated spot below for the Chromebook—a Web-only notebook that Google hopes will fundamentally change the way people use computing in companies. Witty, great looking, informational, but not boring—Google just knows how to do these demo videos. Google will bring the Chromebook to market on June 15 and offer a subscription model for businesses at $28 a month per machine—pennies compared to the high cost of managing desktop machines.
