Today you are virtually bombarded with information every single day. You receive tons of emails, see a number of billboards and posters.You see and hear tons of ads on TV and radio. Online there are advertising banners all over the internet they are so many that you have stopped noticing them (most of them) they all blend in. And because you have started to ignore them they have evolved.

Now on some websites when you try to exit you get a pop up where you have to read it chose an action or press the "x" if you can find it. Mostly these ads have negative effect on the website you are visiting but the main idea is that you are so annoyed that you didn't even think about what are they saying.So now not every 100TH person clicks on ad. Its every 150TH person or more. Except of course the pages with ads hidden in the content. Not every 1 000 000th email gets you a customer but 1 500 000th email or more.

 

Do you remember when you were getting 1 or 2 emails a day and 10 brochures in the post box.

The last time i received mail besides billing was at least two years ago it was from getafreelanecer.com i remember because its still on my shelf and made an impression. Well these almost forgotten practices can give you good results.

 

Mail in the post box will be 99.99999% read. Although sending thousands of mails can be expensive if your product is presented well it can generate you very good success rate compared to normal campaigns. Mainly because it is something that will make an impression.

The most powerful tool around is association.People have that ability to connect shapes and colors to something they know, something familiar, something they trust.

Using this fact you can drive attention easily towards a service or a product, but in order to keep it the product/service must be of value. Tricks like that can get you only the opportunity to present the idea not necessarily sell the product, but its a easy way of making people actually read the ad.

 

Using something of a common  knowledge (and not impersonating a brand) will give you even more. Can make people think about the ad they have seen when they think about the item you associate your products/services with. Like when you see a triangle and a rainbow you think of pink Floyd. Or when you see an apple.

Creating Advertisement like that can have a very good long term bennefits.Allthow in the beginning it will look like nothing special. Or if you are looking for a quick short term ad for event of some sort you can associate your ad with something more provocative. Something to drive more attention.
